Tom Traken was a veteran of the malcontent uprisings. Wile on routine patrol he got caught in a dimensional anomaly. When Tom came to he was no longer in the grasslands on the outskirts of Monument City but in a forest. His hovertank was undamaged, and he was uninjured. After trying, unsuccessfully, to contact Monument City Tom came across a wondering pair. A humanoid in long flowing robes calling himself Corwin, and a small Goblin with implanted body armor ridding a cigar looking hovercraft who called himself Taft. They struck a quick and lasting friendship.
Tom is a tactical and strategic genius, and he has a good head for profit. When on duty or in a combat situation Tom is calm, cool, and to the point. You will find him on the battlefield whenever two or more detachments are deployed to the same campaign. When off Tom is most often found down in R&D with "The Professor".
